
I just finished talking with a top high school hurler, Pat Delano out of Braintree, MA. He stands 6-6 240 and he is currently ranked number 10 respectively, in a loaded class of 2012. With time, the ranking will only go up.
1. Heading into your sophmore year, what are some things you expect this year during the spring with high school and summer with travel teams and showcases.
1. I expect that our highschool team will have a succesful season. I also expect that the 16u East Cobb Astros will have a successful season.
2. So far I haven't seen that you commited to any schools yet. Who is at the top of your list and what schools have you liked the most so far?
2. I dont have a top list yet. There is not particular order to this list but i like Stanford,Virginia Tech, Florida, and Purdue so far.
3. As a pitcher, what pitches do you have in your repitoire, where do they clock in at and what is your favorite pitch to throw?
3. I throw a 4 seam fastball that tops out at 93-94 but is consistantly at 89-91. I throw 2 seam fastball that is usually 86-89. I also throw a changeup at 73-76. The last pitch i throw is a cut fastball at 83-86.
4. What was your favorite personal baseball memory?
4. My favorite baseball memory is a hr i hit when i was 11 in fort myers florida. It tied the game in the 6th inning and we went on to win the game in extra innings.
5. Who's your favorite baseball player and favorite team?
5. My favorite player is dustin pedroia. My favorite team is the Red Sox.
6. As a long term goal, do you see yourself on the mound or 1st base?
6. I see myself on the pitchers mound because i love pitching.
7. Last question. Being a nationally ranked player, does it make you want to strive harder and how does it effect your daily life and how you go about your pitching?
7. Yes it makes me strive harder when i practice and workout. But on the mound i stay withing myself. No it doesnt effect my everyday life.
